Job Description :

  • Right now at client, you have a unique opportunity to help reshape the pursuits & proposals function as you help drive consultative best practices across pursuits and RFPs.
  • Reporting into the Global Head of Pursuit, Proposals & Customer Assurance (Director) and working alongside your colleagues within the same function at APAC and EMEA, your mission is to develop compelling, technically competent, winning pursuit strategy, writing winning proposal content and supporting the presentation prep process.
  • The deals you will work on will be aimed at solving our customers’ most challenging problems in areas such as : Wealth Digitalization Sustainable Finance Investing End-to-End Trading & Market Infrastructure BB Data Redistribution

  • Ideal candidates will have a Consulting, Professional Services or Industry background that enables them to fully understand the customer challenge and articulate winning narratives and technical differentiators for inclusion in proposal campaigns.
  • Candidates should demonstrate a strategic mindset and be able to bring to life the client's mission and solution portfolio with the demonstrated ability to build and convey compelling value propositions.

Your responsibilities :

Your role will include leading winning pursuit and proposal campaigns by supporting selling teams across the sales lifecycle.

Your role is two-fold :

  • Pursuits You will work with account teams, solution selling teams, consulting teams, product teams and other SMEs to build unique value propositions specific to client needs, drive client engagement plans and write sales content across the pursuit lifecycle.
  • You will also help the global team develop pursuit best practices as the new function is built and development is underway in tandem in .
  • Proposals You will bring strategic insight into the RFP process, and write executive summaries and content for high-priority, high-value proposals or RFPs, working alongside Proposal Managers and Coordinators in the RFP team.
  • You will also identify existing gaps, and improvements and drive broader process enhancements by working with all Managers in this team, globally.

Here’s a non-exhaustive list of your responsibilities :

  • Understanding the customer’s specific needs to address them directly in the pursuit and proposal strategy , help build bespoke customer-focused value propositions and solutions.
  • Undertake effective opportunity review processes in the pursuit as well as proposal team, to enhance returns to the business
  • Leverage client sales methodology to identify and guide the account & sales teams on their engagement plan to enhance our chances of winning
  • Differentiating client Data & Analytics in a unique manner, having assessed the competition and market conditions.
  • Drafting value-focused proposals in collaboration with the proposal management and sales teams working hand-in-glove.
  • Managing the end-to-end process for high-priority pursuits - including leading kick-offs, and strategy sessions, recommending a customer-centric approach / solution, and ensuring senior stakeholder buy-in, reviews, and approvals.
  • Facilitating pre-RFP and post-RFP (Orals presentation or pitch) preparation and rehearsals for selling teams, to ensure they have everything they need to deliver a successful client meeting.
  • Using innovative ways to present our solution , using or working with graphic design tools to lead the development of pursuit, proposal, and pitch graphics and visuals to illustrate complex ideas.

Also working with the Global graphic designer based in London where required.

  • Supporting the development of future improvements both at AMERS and where required, at the Global team level , win / loss analyses and driving learnings to better inform proposal strategy, AI use in proposals etc.
  • Instigating and supporting additional proposal and pitch capability-building, through collaborations with the Marketing and Sales Enablement functions, where needed.
  • Participating in industry events to remain current’ at all times.
  • Working in partnership with the Solutions Sales and Technology teams (as well as other SMEs) to maintain and develop the electronic pursuit and proposal repository.
  • Working in partnership with the Sales Enablement Content Team to maintain and develop appropriate Proposition-related material to be used in the sales and RFP process.

Ideally, you will have the following skills and experience :

  • Deep domain expertise in one of our key growth areas ( EE Trading & Market Infrastructure) such that you can understand business requirements and provide industry and technical input and / or solution offerings to help shape the deal. (desired)
  • Track record of working with stakeholder groups across all levels of seniority, to deliver an agreed customer-focused solution (required)
  • Experience managing and developing teams of proposal experts (required)
  • Experience prioritizing against ROI during the bid intake process (desired)
  • Experience in local or fed government deals and / or proposals (desired)
  • Experience in influencing senior leaders and managing expectations in a diplomatic manner (required)
  • Excellent organizational and program management skills and an ability to work to tight deadlines (required)
  • Experience with proposal management and CRM tools including Loopio and SalesForce (desired)
  • Strong sales or marketing background in the growth solution sales area’ (required)
  • Excellent writer and storyteller who can structure and write content in proposals impactfully (required)
  • Experience developing winning value propositions. (required)
  • Experience preparing selling teams to deliver high-quality pitches or oral presentations. (desired)
  • Commercially minded and entrepreneurial. (required)
  • Proposal and / or project management organization skills (required)
  • Ability to work with graphic design packages (desired)
  • APMP certified (Shipley best practices) (required)
  • Energetic and proactive attitude towards learning and sales execution (required)
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines at any one time (required)

You’ll bring :

  • Excellent knowledge of the financial markets and market trends. Experience in either selling desktop solutions and / or market data would be a plus!
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to perform in a highly-visibility and pressured environment to win high-impact change programs with multiple touch points within the customer environment
  • Strong team player, project / proposal leader, and excellent communicator
  • Self-motivated individual with a proven sales track record
  • Determination, tenacity, self-motivation, and willingness to put in the extra effort to succeed
