Project Manager - IT Infrastructure and Operations Location Anna, Ohio (Hybrid of both onsite and remote work) Duration May 2023 May 23, 2024 with possibility of an extension Travel - Quarterly (not a set plan, but need to be flexible if project requires travel) We are looking for a Project Manager to support various Project Manager for Infrastructure and Operational projects for our client who is based in Anna, Ohio.
This is a hybrid position which will start as primarily onsite and then once this PM is familiar with the projects, the opportunity to work remotely will be evaluated.
Hence, the remote work will be less than 60%. Duties will include the following :
- Develop project estimates Gathers business requirements from the customer to establish project estimates and to recommend a high-level solution
- Develop project work plans and schedules Risk Management Plan, Communication Plan, Documentation Plan, Quality Plan and all subordinate work plans
- Monitor and Controls Project Monitors project scope, issues, risks and schedule Manage issues to closure and escalates appropriately
- Project Communication. Ensures all stakeholders are aware of progress through project meetings, status reports and milestone reviews
- Staff Management Monitors the performance of all resources assigned to project. Takes appropriate action to motivate and manage
- Product Quality Ensure appropriate design, code and test quality standards are followed in the development of the solution Manage turnover of project to post production as a Project Requirement Contribute to the Project Management Knowledge Base by contributing to department standards and improvement initiatives
Required Skills and Expertise :
- 5+ years of IT Project Management experience
- Must have experience managing infrastructure / operational projects
- Project Management Certification (PMP) is required
- Solid background displayed in previous employment experience in the following areas : Gathering business requirements and establishing project estimates Developing Risk Management Plans, Communication Plans, and other pertinent work plans Monitoring project scope, issues, risks and schedule Providing project updates to stakeholders including providing status reports Overseeing team performance
- Good Presentation Skills and experience working with MS Office Tools with a strong grasp on using MS PowerPoint
- Experience with Clarity tool or general project management software to assist with defining projects, defining schedules, managing resources, etc.
