Children's Hospital : Social Work (Part Time, Day Shift) -

The Social Worker-LCSW holds a license in the state of California and is a key member of the physician-directed healthcare team.
Assists the Social Worker-MSW with complex cases as requested. Performs social work process independently; serves as a role model in social work practice and methodology and consistently demonstrates advanced level of practice in the acute care setting and hospital based clinic setting.
Professionally applies social work methodology and theory to practice by a) providing support for patients and families who are affected by illness and / or injury, loss, grief, victimization, change in life-style, or other situation that may impair their ability to function optimally, b) performing individualized and culturally sensitive comprehensive psychosocial assessments, and c) developing and implementing interventions, treatment strategies, and discharge plans based on assessment findings.
Participates in weekend / holiday coverage and on-call rotation as requested. Provides coverage for other departments when requested, e.
g., peds / adults / clinics / emergency department. Able to communicate fluently in English and Spanish is highly preferred.
Performs other duties as needed.
Masters Degree in social work required. Minimum two years of experience in acute care or clinic setting required. Current License (LCSW) issued by the California Board of Behavioral Science required.
Fluent in speaking, reading, and writing in English and Spanish preferred . Able to write legibly; speak in English and Spanish with professional quality;
use computer, printer, and software programs necessary to the position; troubleshoot basic office equipment necessary to the position.

hear sufficiently for general conversation in person and on the telephone, and identify and distinguish various sounds associated with workplace.
