We are currently seeking a team member to join our office in Affton, MO .
Founded in 1972, Inventory Sales Company is a premier distributor of all types of fasteners, strut channel and fittings, sign hardware and weld studs.
We are service driven at ISC by having short lead times, a wide selection of products, and customized inventory programs.
Buyer
Responsibilities :
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with vendors, acting as the primary point of contact for assigned suppliers and vendors.
- Review purchase requisitions and execute purchases using established processes.
- Utilize the P21 system to enter supplier confirmations and manage purchase orders efficiently.
- Monitor and expedite purchases, making necessary adjustments based on sales demand and customer requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of business transactions, pricing, lead times, and other supplier documentation.
- Collaborate closely with sales personnel to address customer concerns, resolve issues, and enhance overall customer service.
- Resolve invoicing discrepancies, receiving issues, and material returns in coordination with accounting and quality departments.
- Participate in purchasing improvement initiatives and cost reduction programs.
- Assist in inventory control and planning by leveraging demand planning, forecast data, and collaboration with sales teams.
- Source new products and parts, initiate Request for Quotes (RFQs), and evaluate potential new suppliers.
- Contribute to special projects as assigned by management, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.

Qualifications :
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Proficiency in P21 or similar ERP systems is preferred.
- Experience in the industrial fastener or commercial construction industry is advantageous.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and quotes accurately.
- Proactive problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
