JOB SUMMARY
Strategic Partnership High Value Care Analyst is reporting to the Sr Director of Analytics, will be the lead analytical resource supporting MVP's strategic partnership with UVMHN.
Responsibilities will include : 1) the development of comprehensive analytics and data modeling to provide critical insights to help drive improvement in member experience, profitability and product competitiveness, 2) executive level strategic decision support and communications, and 3) collaboration with clinical and partnership stakeholders as well as with various MVP analytical teams.
The scope of work will include the evaluation, quantification and forecasting of both Revenue (Quality and Risk) and Expense (Cost containment, High value care) drivers.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :
- Collaboration across the organization and with key staff at UVMHN
- Conduct market research, document key findings, apply knowledge to business problem
- Validation of data, data models and reporting for accuracy and soundness
- Research and query multiple data sources, manipulate large sets of data using appropriate tool
- Identify and Implement the most efficient solution for the business problem with forward thinking mindset to leverage automation and efficiency
- Leverage AI, Machine Learning or Statistical software where appropriate to advance analytics
- Actively seek to draw inferences from the data to drive actionable insights / strategic discussions
- Actively challenge the status quo and find a better way
- Present Finding, Model or Report to Business / Leadership effectively and persuasively
- Manage multiple priorities and deliver in timely manner
- Active learning of MVP's data assets, products, markets to enable applying business mindset to decision making and reporting solutions
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS :
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in health care analytics.
- Advanced Degree in Health Care related field
- Comprehensive working knowledge of health care data including but not limited to claim data, pharmacy data, clinical data, provider billing practices and lab data.
Ability to independently research and learn any other required data source needed to perform job duties.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Population Health Risk Adjustment analytics / models
- General working knowledge of Medicare Stars measures and regulatory landscape
- Effective team participation with ability to facilitate conflict resolution and lead others along the way
- Working knowledge of principles, best practices and emerging trends in population health
- Demonstrated ability to independently draw inferences from data and develop recommendations / solutions to solve key business problems
- Ability to adapt to a fast pace, changing environment and to handle changing priorities and deadlines.
- Self Starter, ability to manage through ambiguity and lack of clear direction, innovative thinker
- High Level of Proficiency in Microsoft suite of products including Power Platform
- High Level of Proficiency in SQL
- Working knowledge of R, SAS or Python and use cases to solve critical business problems
- Skilled at persuasive written and verbal communications that drive action or set strategic direction
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and adapting skills to changing Health Care landscape
