Were seeking experienced personal care assistants who can be a companion who seems like family, providing their clients with trustworthy care and a lifestyle with new possibilities.
Whether assisting with the effects of aging, recovery from surgery, or an occasional errand, the personal care assistant will serve as an invaluable support person in a variety of scenarios.
Our clients often need someone to bathe them, help them dress, ensure they eat healthy meals, and give medication reminders.
The ideal candidate will be able to handle any of these circumstances with a gentle touch and a cheerful attitude.
Objectives of this role
Help clients remain engaged and enriched mentally, physically, socially, and emotionally with required assistance.
Perform assigned duties in an accurate and timely manner and demonstrate flexibility in meeting the needs of clients.
Safeguard clients by observing their interactions, procedures, and activities.
Be aware of and sensitive to each clients pain, mobility, and fragility, and approach every interaction with compassion.
Adhere to company standards, policies, and procedures, as well as legal rules and regulations.
Responsibilities
Assist clients with personal activities such as bathing, oral hygiene, preparing and consuming meals, dressing, undressing, ambulation, and medication reminders.
Help clients move around safely.
Report to a supervisor or case coordinator any changes in a clients physical condition, behavior, or appearance.
Solve routine client problems, promote healthy lifestyle habits, and provide general companionship and advice.
Document the services delivered to clients, per company policies and procedures.
Required skills and qualifications.
High school diploma or equivalent
One or more years of experience as a caregiver
Certification in first aid and CPR
Ability to pass a background check.
Excellent judgment and proven discretion in handling confidential information
Valid drivers license
Preferred skills and qualifications
Experience in caring for people who have dementia or Alzheimers disease. (if needed)
Ability to communicate.
Professional certification such as CNA is not required.
