Responsibilities :

In keeping with Marian Medical Center health care philosophy, the Operating Room Clinical Nurse is an experienced practitioner who demonstrates in-depth knowledge of nursing and patient care, and has the ability to practice independently at MMC and applicable entities.

The OR Clinical Nurse also serves as a resource person as well as a preceptor. Under minimal supervision, the OR Clinical Nurse identifies and implements nursing interventions for patients and evaluates the results of these interventions for a given patient population.

Supports and promotes the provision of quality patient care.

Qualifications :

Minimum Qualifications :

• 1 year of clinical nursing experience
• Associates Degree Nursing (ADN)
• RN - California Registered Nurse in good standing
• BLS-CPR
• ACLS
• PALS - within 6 months of hire

Preferred Qualifications :

• 2 years or greater recent periop experience as circulating and / or scrubbin RN, or clinical nursing in Tele, CCU or ED.
• Experience as RN in CVOR, Ortho, Neuro, General, Robotics, GYN, Advanced Endoscopy, Hybrid procedures and urology highly preferred
• CRNFA, CNOR, ATLS, ONC, CFPN, CPPS, CV-BC, and / or CCRN

Please be advised that this location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire.

This ongoing competency is required through resources internal to the facility; outside RQI competency resources are not acceptable for CommonSpirit Health compliance requirements.
