Summary :

Tetra Tech's Boise, ID office is currently seeking a Senior Civil or Environmental Engineer with high-level expertise in managing complex environmental investigation and remediation projects and programs.

The Senior Civil or Environmental Engineer's responsibilities include building client relationships that result in obtaining pre-defined revenue goals, integrating the civil and environmental practice service offerings into the existing Tetra Tech global team and portfolio of clients, and implementing programs and projects.

Your Role :

Rapidly integrate yourself into Tetra Tech to understand and leverage Tetra Tech's diverse resources and service offerings in your associated practice areas.

Collaborate with operations and technical focused team members to advance business development, program and project implementation, and practice area strategies and goals.

Work with operational leadership to define your key technical practice areas, client pursuits, and group and revenue growth goals.

  • Provide senior leadership support to Tetra Tech's civil and environmental practice focusing on your area of expertise. Leadership support includes a focus on identifying resources needed to reach your practice area goals, developing business strategies, client engagement, opportunity identification and pursuit, operational support, and team member education and mentoring.
  • Serve as the Senior Account Lead for one or more client accounts identified as strategic pursuits. Meet client needs and provide high value services.

Cross sell services outside of candidate's technical practice area and provide programmatic support and oversight for those interdisciplinary services that are provided to the candidate's client base with an eye toward growth of the overall service portfolio provided.

Provided services should result in client's desire to continue and grow business relationship with Tetra Tech.

Work with Tetra Tech's remediation management team members to perform comprehensive analysis of client account potential, market share, and winnable opportunities.

Other activities will include RFP management, proposal preparation, contract negotiation, and project implementation.

Engage and retain client relationships with commercial, industrial, financial, law and energy firms, and private equity and other investment groups to facilitate opportunity generation.

Provide technical and management services to government clients for programs housed in your home unit and other units in Tetra Tech.

  • Demonstrate that you are instrumental to the capture of new orders during your first year of employment, followed by an increasing trend toward $1M of revenue annually over the following two to five years.
  • Capitalize on industry relationships / expertise / professional network to maintain and establish new relationships and ensure they are managed for growth under the Key Client Program.

Attend and participate in remediation related events to promote Tetra Tech's expertise to the marketplace.

Qualifications :

  • BS degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering required.
  • Fifteen years of program / project management direct experience in the site investigation and remediation practice areas.

Expertise in developing complex site investigation, remediation, and compliance strategies for clients across industries.

Expertise in state-of-the art site investigation, human health risk evaluations, and remediation technologies is required.

Knowledge of regulations and regulatory agencies in Utah and surrounding states is required.

  • Must have a solid understanding of regional industries and existing and upcoming regulatory requirements they will need to comply with along with market trends, competitors, clients, forecasting, and capture strategy.
  • Experience working across disciplines to develop interdisciplinary solutions for a variety of market segments and cross selling services outside of the candidate's technical focus area.
  • Dynamic, self-starter with successful experience with operational and program-level leadership, business development, and strategic planning focused on the commercial and industrial market sectors and to government clients.
  • Direct proven account growth / management experience on accounts and / or projects of $500K to $1M.
  • Strong network of clients and long-standing, established relationships.
  • Ability to delegate project and operation tasks to more junior team members to effectively utilize candidate's strengths is essential.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing project and group finances with strong profitability.
  • Skilled in oral and written communication with demonstrated ability developing and delivering effective presentations to customers and management.
  • A Pre-employment drug screening in compliance with state regulations is required.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record without restrictions.
