Our client is hiring a Tax and Accounting Manager to join their growing team! This is a direct-hire opportunity responsible for managing a team of accounting professionals, performing administrative and accounting duties to maintain accurate financial, tax, and billing records and reports.
This position can sit in Chicago, Illinois; Indianapolis, Indiana; or Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Responsibilities :
- Review quarterly fixed asset updates prepared by staff accountants and prepare quarterly and annual state income tax estimates
- Perform tax research based on current and proposed tax legislation
- Complete applicable registrations for state income tax withholding and state unemployment insurance
- Review annual state and city personal property tax returns prepared by staff accountant and complete returns when needed
- Put together supporting schedules for federal and state tax returns which are prepared by a 3rd-party provider, including book-to-tax reconciliation and state apportionment schedule
- Conduct annual partner tax survey re : state filing preferences
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance, or equivalent
- At least 3+ years of experience in public accounting
- Experience in partnership tax and non-residential state tax required
- CPA strongly preferred
- Adept skills in Excel
