Job Description

Reporting to the VP Operations and Finance, the Financial Planning & Analysis Director will oversee financials reporting and analysis for the Region.

Responsible to provide specific & substantial analysis and to monitor financials, while ensuring data quality and accuracy in order to perform effective management reporting.

As a strategic business leader, he / she will collaborate with senior leaders across the business and lead the preparation of various monthly financial and operational reporting with insightful analysis, explanation of variance drivers and recommendations for cost saving initiatives.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible to provide in-deep analysis per entity, business unit (Retail P&L, CS etc.) and costs lines and to share / explain them to PL key owner
  • Lead the annual budget, latest estimate and business review processes for the Region
  • Monitor key performance indicators and trend analysis for the business
  • Lead the preparation of various monthly financial and operational reporting across all departments of the business with insightful analysis, explanation of variance drivers and recommendations for cost saving initiatives
  • Control costs and compare with authorized investment (CAPEX / OPEX) and suggest corrective action plans to the management
  • Manage monthly closing analysis and Budget control in order to communicate performance to HQ, JV partners and Local Management
  • Ensure close relation with HQ Controlling team, and ensure that all Regional Financials are in line with Group Controlling requirements.
  • Drive business controlling function, collaborating with accounting team to ensure costs allocations between accounts, cost centers and business areas are accurate and for correct boutique profitability and align with budget / targets
  • Perform ad-hoc financial analysis related to the current business or new projects
  • Drive process improvements and proactively develop ways to improve the speed and accuracy in budget and forecasting process
  • Review, support or deliver financials forecast / simulations depending of the project (ex. Btq relocation, new AP House location, etc.)

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Finance, Accounting or Controlling required
  • 10+ years experience in preparing and maintaining financial models, budgets, reporting, consolidation and financial analysis, preferably in retail or the luxury industry
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to interact, advise and challenge senior leadership levels
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel
  • Strong business acumen and demonstrated experience serving as a strategic business partner, practical sense and team working
  • Skilled at prioritizing and managing multiple projects, taking initiative, and working collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Required Travel - 20%

Additional Information

Audemars Piguet offers a competitive and comprehensive compensation and benefits package. The base salary for this role is between $165,000 - $185,000 dependent upon experience.
