This client’s primary focus is creating systems to handle hazardous materials from gas and chemical facilities.
Expected Annual Salary Range : $100,000-$130,000
Location : San Jose, CA
Job Details :
- Develop detailed instrumentation and controls logic for both simple and complex systems
- Program PLC systems for optimal performance and troubleshoot operatic logic when required
- Work with AutoCAD and Revit designers to develop system layouts, block diagrams and wiring schematics
- Read, analyze and interpret all types of project documents
- Specify equipment including toxic and flammable gas detectors, audible / visible alarms, instrumentation, process safety interlocks and PLC-related automation equipment
- Ensure all project plans align with CA Fire and Electrical Codes, as well as hazardous location requirements
- Managing field installation and commissioning of systems
Job Requirements :
- BSEE or bachelor’s degree in other related engineering discipline
- Active California PE license or ability to obtain within first year of employment
- 5+ years of experience in electrical / controls field, preferably in industrial settings
- Proficiency in PLC programming with Allen Bradley (A-B) or Siemens software, as well as touch screen programming languages
- Strong knowledge of control systems architecture and networks in development, commissioning and troubleshooting
