The Judge Group is in search of a Tooling Design Engineer for an industrial manufacturer in South Milwaukee, WI. Join a large, well-established company that has many opportunities to grow and offers their engineers a growth plan to manage your career trajectory.
In this role you'll be developing complex mechanical concepts to answer customer proposal requests then maturing the designs using rigorous requirements management, structural analysis, and 3D modeling.
This job will have the following responsibilities :
- Manage stamping die tool design from product specification review to tool signoff
- Create 2D and 3D tooling designs
- Review concepts to align function and standards ensuring precise high-quality tool designs
- Participate in lean manufacturing activities such as Kaizen events, 5S, 8D, Preventative Maintenance programs, RCA, 5-Why and other tools for enhancing productivity
- Support engineering changes to existing tools
- Provide input for process improvements for future projects
- Utilize strong time management to ensure project timelines are met
Qualifications & Requirements :
- Associates Degree or higher in Engineering (Bachelor’s preferred).
- Minimum four (4) years’ engineering experience (Manufacturing environment preferred).
- Minimum two (2) years’ experience in modeling and design using CAD tools.
- Experience with Six Sigma Design Tools preferred.
