job summary :

Salary : $27 - $30 per hourJob Description : We are seeking a detail-oriented Railcar Mover Assembler to join our team. This position involves assembling, maintaining, and repairing railcar movers used in industrial and transportation settings.

The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background, the ability to read schematic diagrams, and knowledge of air systems and hydraulic fillings.

Preference will be given to candidates with Tech 1 or Tech 2 certifications.Responsibilities : Assemble railcar movers according to engineering specifications and blueprints, ensuring precision and compliance with safety standards.

Read and interpret schematic diagrams and technical drawings to effectively assemble and troubleshoot mechanical systems.

Perform routine maintenance tasks, including lubrication, fluid fills, and parts replacement on railcar movers.Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and equipment, ensuring timely and effective repairs.

Operate forklifts and other equipment as needed to support assembly and maintenance tasks.Collaborate with engineering and design teams to suggest improvements in assembly processes and product design.

Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while performing assembly, maintenance, and repair tasks.Requirements : Proven experience as an assembler or technician in a mechanical field, with a strong understanding of mechanical systems and components.

Ability to read and interpret schematic diagrams and technical drawings accurately.Knowledge and experience with air systems and hydraulic systems, including hydraulic fillings and troubleshooting.

Tech 1 or Tech 2 certification preferred, demonstrating proficiency and expertise in mechanical assembly and maintenance.

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions.Physical stamina, ability to lift heavy objects, and work in various positions as required.

Willingness to work overtime when necessary to meet production deadlines.Ability to operate forklifts and other machinery safely and efficiently.

Steel-toe boots required for safety reasons.Preferred Qualifications : Vocational training or certification in mechanical technology, industrial maintenance, or a related field.

As a sit down forklift operator, you will unload materials and merchandise from incoming vehicles and load them onto assigned locations.
