Storm Reply is seeking an extraordinary customer-obsessed data engineer to join our consulting team. We are looking for a(n) individual(s) who loves working with data to drive business outcomes.
This is an end-to-end role where, on some projects, the engineer may be sourcing data from complex systems such as SAP, while on other projects, there may be work building semantic data layers, dashboards, or even AI agents.

Responsibilities
- Curious about data and have mastered SQL, Python, or other languages.
- Individuals who understand AWS and / or Databricks services and have experience working with standard Database services such as S3, EC2, RDS, Lambda, Redshift, Data Lakehouse, Delta Lake, and Glue.
- Experience with transactional data.
- Eager to embrace AI in the solutions they build, how they build them, and how their work may be incorporated into larger enterprise solutions.
- Ability to interpret business requirements into functional and then technical requirements and understanding of designing workflow / process-based systems.
- Experience with data modeling principles for relational and dimensional data structure, data warehouse design principles (e.
g., Kimball, Inmon), and data lake design principles.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (or related training) in computer science, computer engineering, math, MIS, or a related field with a strong foundation in statistics is preferred.
- 4 years of professional experience and 2 years of consulting experience working with decision support, analytics, reporting, or AI / ML solutions with at least two referenceable engagements on either AWS or Databricks.
- Current AWS or Databricks Certification ideally, as an AWS Certified Database, BigData, Data and Analytics specialist, and / or Databricks Professional certification.
- Experience working with common development languages, including SQL, Python, PySpark, SparkSQL, etc., and supporting development tools.
- Exposure to working with large enterprise systems such as SAP, Salesforce, NetSuite, or Service Now.
- Exposure to GenAI models and applications, i.e., Amazon Bedrock, Open AI, etc.
- Experience working both autonomously and within a larger team.
- Experience working within standard project management methodologies, including Agile, Scrum, Kanban, and Waterfall.
