Full-Time Package Handler / Parker
Spee-Dee Delivery is looking for a self-motivated and independent worker who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.
As a Package Handler you would unload freight from fleet vehicles, accurately sort freight, and load freight in a timely manner to ensure quick delivery.
Hours and Wages :
- Monday-Friday, 4 : 00PM start
- Paid OT at time and a half after 40 hours per week
- Starting wage : $$ per hour, based on experience
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Unloads each package by hand from fleet vehicles
- Scans package barcode labels as unloaded for tracking purposes
- Sorts each package by zip code, city, or state
- Stacks freight into trailers and routes in a manner to prevent damage and utilize space efficiently
- Washes fleet vehicles to maintain company image, as needed
- Assists with moving and parking company vehicles within the facility
- Performs light custodial duties to maintain a clean and safe warehouse environment
- Performs other duties as assigned
Experience and Qualifications :
- At least 18 years of age
- Ability to work up to a 12-hour shift
- Ability to bend, lift, twist, carry, and slide freight in the warehouse that can weigh up to 100 lbs.
- Ability to read labels at a fast pace and work independently
- Ability to work with all types of freight which include, but are not limited to hazardous material, perishable food and alcohol, firearms, ammunition, and live animals
