Calling on Speech-Language Pathologists who are passionate about working with young children, some of whom have low-incidence disabilities! Soliant has partnered with a school district, and is seeking a contract SLP to work with children spanning the ages of 3 to 6 (Early Childhood to 1st grade).
Caseload numbers are comparatively manageable, with about 30-40 students. One of the classrooms is a K-1 classroom for students with low-incidence disabilities.
We welcome both ASHA-certified Speech Pathologists and Clinical Fellows!
Duties include :
- Providing speech and / or language therapy to childrenreferred forcommunication disorders or delays.
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary team to adopt a multi-pronged approach in achievingeducation / developmental goals
- Maintaining accurate service records of students on caseload
- Evaluating students with suspected communication disorders; making recommendations for speech and language services as needed
- Providing comprehensive written report of observations, assessment results, and recommendations within the standards established by state guidelines
- Developing integrated goals with other education staff for students with multiple or other disabilities.
- Consulting with school staff and parents on the inclusion of materials to support speech and language development, or other areas of curriculum related to speech and language.
- Participating in the Medicaid billing process for school-based services (if needed)
