About the Team :
Detox provides 24 / 7 acute care services to clients who are intoxicated and / or in acute withdrawal. Team consists of Shift Coordinators, Addiction Technicians / Specialists, Peer Recovery Coaches, Case Managers, and Outreach Drivers.
About the Role :
The Shift Coordinator manages a team of 3-6 clinicians for a shift (Day, Swing, Overnight). Responsible for care of up to 33 clients, coordinating all intakes, discharges, and transfers to other levels of care.
Role serves as community liaison with multiple hospitals and law enforcement agencies. Role also oversees all EC / IC activity.
Responsibilities :
Lead a work group and provide direction on a daily basis. Provide feedback to employees.
Assist Clinical Manager with reviewing resumes and interviewing candidates.
Serve as the primary trainer of all new staff, or designates a senior member of the team to provide th is training.
Assist with scheduling.
Assist the Clinical Manager with the daily operations of the Unit, including identifying and organizing supplies
needs, receipts from purchases and ensuring that all paperwork is accounted for and completed correctly.
Assist in the development and implementation of treatment and disposition plans that address the client as a
whole-person.
Participation in crisis and behavior management / de-escalation interventions as needed, according to state
regulations, training, and established best practices.
Develop and facilitate psychoeducational groups.
Assist with case management functions as needed.
Assist with intake procedures including decontamination, documentation, inventory of client belongings, and
orientation to the facility.
Assist with discharge procedures.
Conduct one-on-ones to ensure that the treatment team has a comprehensive understanding of the clients selfidentified needs.
Provide trauma-informed interventions that minimize harm and restrictive measures and empower clients to
share responsibility in their recovery plan.
Maintain a safe therapeutic environment that emphasizes recovery, resilience and building a sense of community.
Adheres to Code of Conduct, core values, policies, procedures, guidelines and compliance plan
Effectively interacts and communicates with other staff, clients, customers and partners to build relationships
and address and resolve issues
Regular and consistent attendance is required to perform other essential functions of the job
Meets defined individual and team goals, metrics and Key Performance Indicators
Actively participates in performance review process
Timely completes all annual and other required trainings
Protects all confidential information
Other duties as assigned
Requirements About You :
Ideal candidate is both a strong clinician and leader capable of supervising up to 6 staff of various disciplines. Candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, and effective at multi-tasking in a busy environment.
Candidate will be positive, a team player, and a supportive leader to staff.
Requirements :
- Bachelors degree in human services field or unrelated Bachelor's degree and one year equivalent experience; or High school diploma or equivalent with CAC II acquired prior to April 1, 2021
- Two years' of related experience and / or training.
- Certified Addiction Specialist (CAS) eligible and obtained within one year.
- Actively registered with Colorado Department of Regulatory Affairs (DORA) within 90 days of hire.
- Valid Colorado Driver's License with a driving record that meets organization's requirements.
- Current CPR / First Aid Certification or ability to obtain within six months of hire.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Effective leadership and problem solving skills.
- Professional and timely communication assessing and describing client observations to applicable staff.
- Ability to assess crisis situations and intervene appropriately.
- Understanding and ability to work with differing behavioral health presentations.
- Effective organizational skills.
- Preferred : Bilingual

Salary for this role (based on experience and company equity) :
21.36 - 32.04 hourly

Bilingual differential pay of 5% of salary up to $3000
