Technical Writer
This position requires an active Public Trust clearance or the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance to be considered.
As required by our governmental client, this position requires being a US Citizen.
Cherokee Nation Integrated Health (CNIH) is looking for a Technical Writer to join our vibrant team in Atlanta, GA. The ideal candidate will have strong written, verbal skills.
This role requires experience in a similar capacity to understand, write, explain, and discuss detailed technical issues both for executives and technical staff members.

- Estimated Starting Salary Range for Technical Writer : Pay commensurate with experience.

Technical Writer Responsibilities Include :
- Create scientific, technical, and regulatory documents (e.g., clinical protocols, SOPs, policy documents).
- Assist in developing and enhancing protocols and regulatory applications for the SNS and CDC-exclusive medical products.
- Research and analyze data to support regulatory mechanisms (e.g., Investigational New Drug Applications, Emergency Use Authorizations).
- Review, edit, and proofread policy, scientific, and clinical documents for accuracy and completeness.
- Communicate regulatory information to CDC experts and stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with federal regulations, CDC policies, and MRU procedures.
- Provide regulatory support during CDC emergency responses.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant policies, regulations, and scientific advancements.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Technical Writer Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested :
- Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in a relevant discipline preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in English, Technical Writing, Communications, Life Sciences, Public Health, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in technical writing, preferably in a scientific, regulatory, or healthcare setting.
- Experience in writing and editing regulatory documents, protocols, and policy documents.
- Proven track record in supporting regulatory submissions and compliance documentation.
- Excellent writing and editing skills, with the ability to produce clear, concise, and accurate documentation.
- Strong understanding of FDA regulations and guidelines related to drugs, vaccines, and medical devices.
- Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation in a public health context.
- High proficiency in using relevant software applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, document management systems).
- Ability to develop and organize complex technical documents and regulatory submissions effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Ability to communicate complex scientific and regulatory information clearly to diverse audiences.
- Capable of maintaining up-to-date knowledge of relevant policies, regulations, and scientific advancements.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Ability to provide regulatory support and technical writing assistance during emergency responses.
- An Active Public Trust or the ability to obtain one is required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project
- Experience within a federal organization is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written - to interact with Federal customer and contractor team members.
- Attention to detail and commitment to ensuring work products meet industry and IRS standards.
- Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.
