Job Summary :
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacist to join our healthcare team in Great Falls, MT. As a Pharmacist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications in the hospital setting.
The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 1 year of hospital experience and possess a strong commitment to patient care and safety.
Key Responsibilities :
- Dispense medications accurately and efficiently in accordance with prescription orders.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure proper medication therapy management.
- Provide consultation and education to patients regarding medication use and potential side effects.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
- Monitor drug interactions, allergies, and contraindications to prevent adverse reactions.
- Participate in medication safety initiatives and quality improvement activities.
- Oversee the storage and handling of pharmaceuticals to maintain their integrity.
- Stay informed about new drugs and developments in the field of pharmacy.
- Assist in the training and supervision of pharmacy support staff.
- Collaborate with other healthcare providers to optimize patient outcomes.
Qualifications :
- Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D) degree from an accredited pharmacy program.
- Active and unrestricted pharmacist license in the state of Montana.
- Minimum of 1 year of hospital pharmacy experience.
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceuticals, dosage calculations, and medication management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to patient safety.
- Familiarity with pharmacy information systems and technology.
