To effectively manage all aspects of retail store including but not limited ensuring 100% customer satisfaction, staff coaching / counseling, adhering to company policy, and assisting with other managerial duties as needed.
Other responsibilities include monitoring adherence to all laws and safety guidelines along with reporting information to Store Manager as well as other as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Input, track daily sales. Send daily flash report with accurate labor and sales numbers to ownership and corporate.
- Ensure all shifts are properly staffed. If staff calls out, seek replacements to ensure business runs smoothly. Communicate any staff issues to
- Continuously strive to improve level of service delivered by all staff. Ensure all staff has a customer minded attitude and sense of urgency when servicing guests.
- Maintain a positive, lead by example attitude at all times. Create positive atmosphere where good performance is recognized and outside issues are left at the door.
Recognize staff who excels and maintains exemplary performance.
- Maintain business minded when making decisions. Create separation from Management and hourly staff, maintain this attitude at all times.
- Ensure all checklists and company controls are being properly used by all supporting staff including but not limited to side work, recipe cards, closing / opening checklists, etc.
Coach and counsel staff as needed.
- Maintain clean, attractive store appearance. Instill same attitude in all support staff. Seasonally change dcor as needed.
- Ensure all recipes are properly documented in Chef Tec.
- Work with HR and corporate to ensure all labor laws are being followed and company minimizes any exposure to possible issues.
Ensure breaks laws are adhered to and company properly complies with CA law if breaks are missed. Coach / counsel staff on importance of breaks and ensure staff knows about resting breaks and meal breaks and their ability to utilize both.
Maintain safe working environment at all times. Ensure proper company procedure is followed with regards to Employee Injuries, Guest Injuries, Workers Comp issues, Clinic Visits, etc.
Ensure proper reporting to HR and corporate.
- Ensure that all customers leave happy and satisfied. Go above and beyond to make any situation right, within reason. Instill this attitude in staff.
- Engage, interact and make friends with our customers. Instill this attitude in staff.
- Execute any other projects as requested within timely manner.
- Maintain a lead by example attitude at all times. Coach, educate and train hourly staff as needed.
- Document all recipes as needed to ensure proper preparation. Communicate accurate recipes to Store Manager as changes are made.
Create / update all recipe binders with preparation time and technique notes.
- Ensure proper closing procedures are followed and store is left in ready to open condition.
- Delegate small cleaning duties to staff as needed to maintain great store appearance.
- Solve and document any customer issues as they arise. Maintain guest minded and try to make any situation right within reason.
Communicate issues relating to staff performance to Store Manager.
- Document daily notes in Hotschedules, ensure notes are effective for communicating issues and offer solutions to problems.
- Help create and implement staff training program with support of Store Manager. Streamline Clerk / Scooper onboarding and job role to ensure seasonal employees are all trained in same manner.
- Other projects may be assigned as needed.
