Job Description
This position is contingent upon award of contract.
The Pharmacy Technician is responsible for preparing medications for patient consumption under the general supervision of a licensed pharmacist and in accordance with standard departmental procedures.
Under the supervision of the Pharmacist, the Pharmacy Technician may measure, mix, count, label, and record amount sand dosages of medications according to prescription orders.
Qualifications
Must have completed a formal Pharmacy Technician training program leading to a diploma, certificate or an associate’s degree.
This license shall be current (not revoked, suspended, or lapsed in registration), valid (the issuing authority accepts and considers QA information (i.
e. practitioner professional performance and conduct in determining continued licenses)), and unrestricted (not subject to restriction pertaining to the scope, location, or type of practice ordinarily granted to other applicants for similar licenses in granting jurisdiction).
- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Common Access Card (CAC) or ability to obtain one.
- Must be able to read, write and speak English to effectively communicate.
- US DOS clearance or the ability to obtain one is required.
- Must be able to relocate to Iraq.
- A valid US passport is required and must be in your possession prior to relocation. You must maintain a current passport during your stay in Iraq.
Key Responsibilities :
- Receive written prescription or refill requests and verify that information is complete and accurate.
- Maintain proper storage and security conditions for drugs.
- Retrieves, pours, counts, weighs, measures, and sometimes mixes medication.
- Performs administrative functions such as answering phones and stocking shelves.
- Prepares prescription labels, selects the type of container and affixes the prescription and auxiliary labels to the container.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Actively participates in Mass Casualty exercises and events.
- Performance of other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Knowledge
- 3+ years of experience as a pharmacy technician preferred.
- Completion of a formal pharmacy technician training program.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and Electronic Medical Records
EMR)
- Experience Preferred :
- Experience on a military site, working as a government subcontractor or prime contractor is preferred.

Compensation :
Pay range is based on several factors and may vary in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and / or other benefits.
Final salary and offer will be determined by the applicant’s background, experience, skills, internal equity, and alignment with geographical market data.
