Avera is currently seeking Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) Ex Role looking to deliver the best possible nursing care in Avera’s patient-focused settings.
$7,500 sign-on bonus!

Job Summary
- The L.P.N. is responsible for assisting the registered nurse in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating patient care.
- The L.P.N. is accountable for all patients assigned to him / her according to established policies and procedures of Avera St.
Luke's and the scope of practice for the licensed practical nurse.
- Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development and possesses the ability to respond to specific issues and data reflective of the patient / customer's status.
- Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care for the population served in the department.
Education and / or Experience
- Graduation from an accredited school of Practical Nursing
- Previous nursing experience is desirable, but not required.
Licensure / Certification / Registration
- Current license to practice in the state of South Dakota with expanded role for Dialysis LPN.
- Completion of an approved Hemodialysis treatment course
Work Schedule
- Varied Day Shifts : 4 ten-hour shifts per week; 72 hours every 2 weeks
- every other weekend (Fri / Sat)
- every other holiday
The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
$22.75 - $31.50 per hour
