We're seeking a compassionate and skilled professional to provide high-quality care to our young patients, helping them achieve their maximum potential through innovative therapeutic techniques.
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of pediatric patients' physical conditions and needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans using evidence-based practices
- Utilize various therapeutic modalities, including exercise, gait training, and soft tissue mobility techniques
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure coordinated patient care
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress and treatment plans
- Provide education and guidance to patients, families, and caregivers
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain department policies and procedures
- Ensure a safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff by adhering to safety protocols
Job Requirements
- New York State Physical Therapy license or eligibility to obtain one
- Pediatric physical therapy experience preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Proficiency in electronic medical record systems
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire
- Physical ability to lift 30 pounds independently and 150 pounds with assistance
