About The Position
Job Title : Registered Nurse Job Specialty : Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Day 3x12-Hour (06 : 30 - 18 : 00) Guaranteed Hours : 3, 12-hour shifts - 36 hours in one workweek Experience : Minimum of 18 months required;
2 years preferred License : IN or compact license required Certifications : ACLS, BLS Must-Have : Charge experience; ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias (must have 3-4), IV insulin protocols, titration of insulin drips, starting IVs, titration of cardiac & vasoactive drips, tracheostomy care, feeding tubes, chest tube Job Description : Perform duties in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU).
- Manage patient ratios of 1 : 4.- Float within scope to meet facility needs.- Discuss options for accommodating block schedule.
- Work 2 out of 3 major holidays as required.- Follow special requirements for handling dysrhythmias, insulin, and cardiac care.
- Participate in orientation for 12 hours.- Adhere to facility requirements for flu vaccination; medical / religious exemptions are considered.
- Meet facility-specific requirements for charting and documentation. Note : Candidates must have relevant certifications in hand to apply.
Travel and additional licensing procedures may be required. Flu vaccine is mandatory unless exempted for medical or religious reasons.
