Our client is seeking a senior accountant with non-profit exoerience that can start right away!
Salary : $75,000-$90,000
QUALIFICATIONS
- At least three years of accounting experience, in a not-for-profit organization (budgeting,
- Undergraduate degree in accounting, finance, or business administration
- High level of competence with Excel
- Experience with QuickBooks preferred
Job Duties :
- Prepares monthly and annual financial reports, including balance sheet, income statement (accrual and cash basis), and statement of cash flows
- Prepares journal entries and reconciles ledger accounts
- Participates in annual budgeting process
- Performs year-end closing procedures
- Prepares audit schedules and participates in annual audit field work
- Reconciles or supervises reconciliation of monthly bank, credit card and investment account statements
- Assists in preparation of grant budgets and funder reports
- Prepares and processes payroll, retirement plan contributions and tax returns for approval and submission; maintains all associated records
