Engineering Technician

Job Responsibilities

• Position will take instruction from and support Industrial Engineers (IE) and Senior Transformation Manager with Production, Quality, Maintenance and other Improvement projects.
• Engage in Lean and Six Sigma projects. Persons in this role will receive necessary training and coaching where needed to fullfil these requirements.
• Preparation and collation of important data. These could involve the set up and collection of manual data, accessing, collating and analysing information from company databases, using Excel and other tools for data analysis.

• Engaging and working with operations team members, supervisors and managers as part of improve projects and run the line issues.
• Work with IE, PT's, Engineering and Operations to define the process and tools to create video SOP's for production line processes.

Starting with Pilot, adjusting and gaining approval before creating video SOP's for all important factory processes.

• Carrying out training of operations teams to interact with video SOP's and how to update.
• Highly motivated, self-driven and well-organized with hands-on mentality
• Good natural analytical and problem-solving skills that can be developed with coaching and training
• Driven by innovation and motivated to a drive improvements and change
• Provide troubleshooting and related manufacturing support using advanced quality tools.

The ideal candidate possesses these skills :

• High School Diploma is required, STEM Classes through BOCES and / or 2yr technical college degree is preferred
• As this role is a pathway to an Engineering role, it's preferred to have an Engineering Bachelor's degree, be in the process to complete one, or 4 years experience at a technical level
• Skills such as flexibility, dependability, and independence are essential
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Computer skills : SAP, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Coding would be advantageous but not essential
• Proven problem-solving skills
• Strong decision-making skills
• Team player who can build positive working relationships
• Experience working in a cleanroom manufacturing environment is preferred but not essential

Compensation Data

HIRING SALARY RANGE : $30.00+ per hour. Base salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
