Client in Simpsonville, SC is seeking an experienced Supervisor / Machine Operator
Train on DAYS : 8am-5pm (M-F)
Normal Shift : 11pm - 7am (Sunday - Thursday)
Pay Range : $19 / $24 (Depends on Experience)
You will report to and support the Plant Manager in ensuring accurate receipt of product, order fulfillment and the optimization of resources and processes.
You will analyze and develop solutions related to workflow, quality, team member safety and other key metrics while maintaining compliance with company policies.
You will foster a workplace where team members are engaged and committed to the success of the company.
Supervisor Responsibilities :
Create a positive results-oriented work environment through coaching and mentoring of team leaders and employees.
Serve as liaison between employees and company.
Ensure safe and issue free work environment.
Maintain and improve production performance processes through waste reduction, problem solving and continuous improvement activity.
Provide feedback and development to team members, ensuring everyone is treated fairly and with respect.
Identify important variables across the workflow process and implement enhancements to the workflow.
Develop performance measurements and internal auditing processes to evaluate operations efficiency and quality.
Machine Operator Responsibilities :
Responsible for producing the highest quality in rolls that come off the extruder / winder.
Produces elements, checking for quality, cut, width, and diameter of each roll off the winder.
Responsible for inspection of each roll and classifying roll(s) into appropriate quality status.
Responsible for threading the winder and communicating with Assistant Operators.
Troubleshoot issues with machine and basic systems.
Assist Operators with lockboxes and Lock-out, Tag-out procedures.
Complete all required forms and order documentation legibly.
Running off paper as close as possible to reel to reduce waste.
Communicate with relief about the order schedule for the upcoming shift.
Performs other tasks as required by supervision
Complete all assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner; keep work area clean.
Must follow all required safety rules and regulations, observe best safety practices for themselves and team members.
Qualifications :
High School diploma or GED
2-4+ years of related experience
Proven interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and written.
Proficient computer skills, strong MS Office (Excel) and knowledge
Problem solving skills
Proven leadership skills
Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within manufacturing / operations
