Assurance Experienced Manager, Quality Management
Job Description
Job Summary :
The Experienced Manager - Assurance Quality Management is responsible for assessing and understanding causes of audit quality events, testing the Firm's system of quality management, maintaining, and supporting audit quality tools, and assisting with managing responsive actions to enhance the Firm's system of quality management.
In coordination with the National Managing Partner - Assurance Quality Management, the Experienced Manager performs investigative analyses of various quality related events, gathers and analyzes data to identify systemic trends and conditions, assists in planning audit quality improvements, and assists in the development and implementation of audit quality indicators.
Job Duties :
- Applies investigative and analytical skills and technical knowledge to develop sufficient specific cause analyses
- Applies advanced Excel skills to analyze and assimilate data
- Assists in gathering and analyzing audit quality indicators
- Demonstrates thought leadership and an inquisitive mind to bring value-added insights to analyses and solutions
- Designs, documents, and enhances system of quality management policies and processes
- Tests controls identified in the Firm's system of quality management, develops deficiency analysis, and prepares annual certification report
- Assists with preparing various audit quality reporting to leadership and the practice
- Assists with maintaining various audit quality programs, including support to professionals, maintaining applications, and confirming completeness and accuracy of program data
- Assists with PCAOB firm level inspection activities, including data requests, meeting support
- Assists with preparing firm level remediation responses to the regulator
- Participates in programs designed to maintain standards of quality, independence, and risk management throughout the practice
- Applies relevant GAAP, GAAS, SEC, PCAOB and other applicable or emerging regulations and standards, and the BDO Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct with honesty and integrity

Education :
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Marketing, or Economics, required
Experience :
Six (6) or more years of work experience, required
License / Certifications :
CPA, required
Software :
- Advanced Excel skills, required
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook, preferred
- Experience with accounting research databases, preferred Language :
