Growing full-service firm looking to add a talented Senior Electrical Engineering with a focus on Renewable Energy to their Cleveland, Ohio team!

Responsibilities :

  • Lead team of engineers / designers in preparation of drawings for all aspects of photovoltaic (PV) and energy storage electrical power systems
  • Provide designs (conceptual and high-level designs) during the bidding stage of projects
  • Coordinate projects with vendors, structure engineers, and civil engineers
  • Prepare documents / reports
  • Solar PV Engineer will provide direction to the renewable energy design team

Requirements :

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related technology
  • Masters of Science in Electrical Engineering preferred
  • 5+ years of renewable energy engineering design experience
  • Experience in either Utility Scale or Commercial / Industrial industries
  • Experience developing scope of work, conceptual design, and plan execution
  • Extensive knowledge of AutoCAD for technical work
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite : Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.
  • Engineering consulting experience preferred
  • Proficient understanding of :
  • Evaluating energy storage technology
  • Providing client guidance for best technology for the application
  • Solar panel system components / design principles
  • How to perform energy production simulations and optimize PV system design
  • Creating electrical single-line diagrams, panel schedules, and connection diagrams for PV / energy storage systems
  • Developing / directing the creation of equipment specifications, procurement, and factory acceptance testing of batteries, inverters, battery enclosures, and other miscellaneous equipment associated with energy storage projects
  • Applying proper codes to design including NEC, NESC, building code, etc.
  • Performing load / voltage drop calculations
  • PVSyst software experience
  • Software experience utilizing SKM, ETAP, Easy Power, or similar software preferred
  • Some travel required
  • Continued education and participation in conferences to stay current within the industry

Salary is commensurate with experience.
