SUMMARY
The Event Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales and profitability by cultivating strong client relationships and overseeing successful event planning and execution.
They play a key role in establishing the CCMC as a top-tier venue focused on customer and client satisfaction. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of managing resources for client events, budget planning, and interdepartmental collaboration, and can effectively balance customer needs with company goals.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage end to end sales, planning, and support execution of events while ensuring client expectations are met and event experiences are delivered at a high level in line with brand standards
- Create and deliver compelling sales presentations to prospective clients.
- Act as the main point of contact for clients, addressing their needs and ensuring satisfaction.
- Develop tailored event proposals and quotations based on client requirements.
- Conduct site visits and client meetings as necessary
- Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and venue staff to manage logistics.
- Oversee the setup, execution, and breakdown of events to ensure everything runs smoothly.
- Develop operating plans and budgets to support sales efforts to prospective events
- Lead and oversee our event coordinators or senior servers
- Conduct site surveys for prospective and booked event clients, their agencies, and contractors
- Monitor schedules and deliverables, and track expenses and reimbursements for contracted events
- Serve as the key point-of-contact for service to clients and their agencies
- Collaborate and contribute to developing solutions for client challenges
- Develop production schedules and manage internal and external resources in support of client events
- Manage the permit application and approval process associated with hosting events at the Seaport
- Develop and maintain preferred vendors list including points of contact and valid insurance documentation
- Coordinate and manage the entitlements and expectations of Seaport and client event sponsors
- Ensure that company policies and procedures, safety and other laws, regulations, and requirements are implemented and followed
- Ability to manage expectations, processes, and multiple projects simultaneously
- Operate ethically to protect the image of the company
- Must be able to maintain a schedule availability flexible to the business demands
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as required or requested
KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
- 2+ years of experience in Event Sales, preferably within the restaurant or hotel restaurant environment
- Strong contacts within the events and meetings industry; and an excellent track record of developing strong client relationships.
- Experience in managing a combination of full-time, seasonal, and contractor staff
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Bachelor’s Degree is a plus
- Effective teamwork skills
- Strong communication skills (verbal, non-verbal, and electronic)
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Proficiency In Triple seat.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to perform the essential job functions consistently, safely, and successfully with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and / or quantitative productivity standards.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs; Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time and climb steps regularly.
- Ability to physically maneuver through work areas; bend, lift, carry, reach / extend arms, and hands above shoulder height frequently, or otherwise move in a constantly changing environment.
COMPENSATION
The base pay range for this position is $70,000.00-$85,000.00 a year plus commission. The determination of what a specific employee in this job classification is paid within the range depends on a number of factors, including, but not limited to, prior employment history / job-related knowledge, qualifications and skills, etc.
