We’re looking for a proactive business development professional who can educate companies of all sizes about our agency.
We have a team of hard working, uber talented creatives and strategists who are amazing at lead generation and digital marketing.
Your job is to spread the word!
We are journalists who put our professional storytelling expertise to work in the field of digital marketing. The right Business Development Specialist for us will understand all aspects of digital marketing, and be able to tell our story in a compelling way.
Bonus points if you’ve worked at an agency like ours before.)
You will be part spokesperson, part problem solver, and part business coach. We build relationships with our prospects by offering lots of education and expertise, so that they understand what digital marketing can (and can’t) do for their businesses, and how to make wise decisions about the services they need.
Are you able to forget the prepared pitch’ and hear and respond to needs in the moment? On any given day, you may need to work within their budget, push them outside their comfort zone, or strategize with them about a plan of attack.
When we meet with a business owner, they’re part of the family even before they sign a contract or pay us any money and we help them in any way we can.
Can you get onboard with that approach? We’d like to meet you.
Yes, if you do your job well, you will sell our services. But this isn’t a sales’ job. This is a job about matchmaking finding companies that need our support, and teaching them how the things we do can solve their problems and grow their business.
We develop long-term relationships with the clients who hire us, built on trust, integrity, and only giving them what they need.
So, if it’s not a win-win, it’s not something we want you to pursue.
On a technical level, you will need to be familiar with CRM software and love systems and processes as much as we do. (Tracking your work, measuring results.
You should have a solid understanding of WordPress, Google analytics, and all major social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, Pinterest, Instagram).
Previous sales or business development experience is required.
What we really need is a proven sales person, who hates to sell.
Instead, you will strategize about new opportunities to expand our reach, build relationships with our clients and prospects, and introduce our suite of services to companies who need to know about them.
In our 11+ years in business, we’ve worked with more than 900 companies all of whom have found us. Now we’d like to talk to those who haven’t found us yet.
That’s where you come in.
It’s important that you enjoy networking, business lunches and client events. Obviously, you should have excellent written and verbal communications skills.
And you should be willing and able to represent a top-notch agency in your appearance and behavior.
This is a full-time position, salary plus commission.
