JOB TITLE : Music Director
LOCATION : Warner Robins , GA 31098
JOB TYPE : Part time
DUTIES :
- Provide musical directorship for the Chapel Service(s) at Robins Air Base Chapel.
- Provide musical directorship for a minimum of one (1) rehearsal and one (1) worship service each week for the Protestant and Catholic worship services.
- Lead the praise team / choir and congregation in worship and vocally lead them as required by the Chaplain / Catholic Priest.
- Possess sound accompaniment skills, competent sight-reading ability is preferred, and be able to perform music from various worship genres.
- Coordinate all support requirements with the Chaplain / Catholic Priest or their designated representative.
EDUCATION & QUALIFICATION :
- Have five (5) or more years of college in music (or related field), or equivalent years of related experience (e.g. playing the piano and / or organ in public performance setting) in a chapel / church setting.
- Be able to sing and vocally lead congregation in worship.
- Be able to plan, organize, and lead a choir / praise team
- Be able to sight read, arrange, improve, play, and score music.
- Possess the ability to develop and maintain a healthy and positive relationship with volunteers, lay leaders, other musicians, parishioners, Chapel Staff, and base personnel.
