Maintenance Mechanic Reports to : Plant Manager Scope The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible to keep all of the equipment and the facility in working order.
The Maintenance Mechanic must keep current with all preventative maintenance, maintain a spare parts level, perform repairs as needed and work with equipment service representatives as required.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities 1. Repair all equipment to performance standards. 2. Keep all equipment in good working order.
3. Work with Equipment Suppliers service representatives as required. 4. Coordinate work activities with general contractors as required.
5. Document the preventative maintenance schedule and work orders. 6. Maintain the spare parts inventory at the appropriate levels.
7. Keep equipment manuals available, current, and orderly. 8. Identify equipment with poor performance history to the CPL manager.
9. Maintain the facility in a safe manner. 10. Must be on call 24 hours a day to correct major equipment breakdowns 11. Communicate safety and sanitation issues to CPL Plant Manager.
12. Review maintenance requests with the CPL Plant Manager. 13. Ensure maintenance room is clean, sanitary and well organized.
14. Instruct employees in the proper handling of equipment. 15. Report to work on time in clean, complete uniform. Maintain good personal hygiene.
Ensures that all team members do the same. 16. Follow safety guidelines and procedures at all times. 17. Strictly adhere to all company policies and procedures.
Qualifications 1. 2. 3. 4. Strong mechanical, electrical, and PLC equipment repair skills. Knowledge of building code and OSHA regulations.
General facility maintenance skills. Good interpersonal, communication and leadership skills.
