The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for Direct Sales within the region, assisting with Legacy Distributor Sales, managing key accounts in the Region, maintaining a long-term relationship with accounts, and maximizing sales opportunities.

Yamaha has an excellent opportunity for a Sales Manager to join our Yamaha Intelligent Machinery team in Marietta GA. The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for Direct Sales within the region, assisting with Legacy Distributor Sales, managing key accounts in the Region, maintaining a long-term relationship with accounts, and maximizing sales opportunities within them.

The successful Sales Manager will prospect and close direct business that is not already being handled by the Distribution Network.

This position is responsible for the overall growth of sales of YMUS IM in the region.

Specific duties include, but are not limited to :

  • Responsible for the development and closing of sales through a direct sales channel.
  • Focus on growing and developing existing clients, together with generating new business.
  • Communicate and educate the sales channel on machine functions and capabilities.
  • Proactively assess, clarify, and validate customer requirements and represents the entire range of company products and services to meet the customers needs.
  • Create and maintain a consistent quoting system for use by sales representatives.
  • Ensure Pricing is in line with YMUS IM Distribution Partners.
  • Establishes productive, professional relationships with key personnel in assigned customer accounts.
  • Report Sales Activity and Market Trends to YMC Robotics Operations.
  • Recommend & request feedback for new machine features, based on North American Market Requirements.
  • Identify areas of improvement with YMUS sales and operations processes and assists in implementing solutions.
  • Local Pricing Negotiations. Lower pricing approval required by Sales Manager.
  • Management of objectives and travel to meet those objectives.
  • Knowledge and Experience Requirements :
  • 5 years technical sales experience in the manufacturing sector, preferably robotics, actuators,

and any factory automation products.

  • BS or Equivalent in a technical or business degree (or at least 10 years relevant technical sales experience.)
  • Proven track record of project management and growth of sales.
  • Ability to communicate well orally and in writing to people of diverse cultures.
