Job Description

Quality Engineer Responsibilities :

  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and regulations in the aerospace industry.
  • Conduct audits to assess adherence to quality management systems (QMS) and identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement effective quality control processes and procedures.
  • Perform root cause analysis to identify and address quality issues, driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish quality metrics and monitor performance.
  • Design and execute quality tests and inspections to validate product and process integrity.
  • Document and analyze quality data, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Participate in the development and maintenance of quality documentation, including procedures and work instructions.
  • Lead and support corrective and preventive actions to resolve quality-related concerns.
  • Drive supplier quality management activities, ensuring adherence to quality standards and facilitating supplier performance improvement.

The Successful Applicant

Successful Quality Engineer :

  • In-depth knowledge and experience in implementing and maintaining AS9100, the quality management standard specific to the aerospace industry.
  • Strong expertise in conducting internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with AS9100 requirements and other relevant quality standards.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing and improving Quality Management Systems (QMS) within the aerospace sector.
  • Proficiency in utilizing quality tools and techniques such as statistical process control (SPC), failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA), and root cause analysis (RCA).
  • Solid understanding of aerospace manufacturing processes and the ability to apply quality principles to optimize production and ensure product integrity.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify, analyze, and resolve complex quality issues.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills to work closely with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders to drive quality initiatives.
  • Attention to detail and a meticulous approach to quality assurance, with a focus on accuracy and precision in documentation and record-keeping.
  • Proactive mindset towards continuous improvement, actively seeking opportunities to enhance quality processes and systems.
  • Strong commitment to staying updated with industry trends, advancements, and regulatory changes in the aerospace sector to ensure compliance and maintain a competitive edge.
