We’re looking for a dynamic and driven Manager, Performance Marketing to join our Growth Marketing team! Reporting to the Sr.
Manager, Growth Marketing, this role sits within the larger Marketing department. Your role will lead a group of performance marketers, driving the development and execution of revenue driving campaigns across a variety of channels, including but not limited to email, SEO, SEM, Paid Media, social, SMS, and chat.
You and the team will be responsible for orchestrating the flow of messaging across channels, providing a seamless and always on’ brand voice, meeting customers with the right message at the right time.
Our corporate headquarters is in Chicago, IL. This role operates on a hybrid work model; employees spend two days working in the office and three days working remotely.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop and drive ongoing strategy and tactics for our marketing channels (and related tools / platforms), targeting new customers, retaining our existing base, and expanding our brand presence.
- Help set strategic vision, with Sr. Manager, Growth Marketing for the performance channels.
- Provide planning and decision making to maximize the ROI and synergies between the channels.
- Develop and execute a variety of strategic channel campaigns, ranging from eCommerce to account based marketing.
- Own and drive the channel plans and strategies, including the development, maintenance and optimization of the plans.
- Develop and present recommendations, highlighting progress, results, and strategic initiatives to leadership and cross-functional partners.
- Analyze data to uncover growth opportunities, refine strategies, and provide actionable insights that inform decision-making.
- Explain, discuss, and justify channel decisions eloquently. Give effective feedback and be open to direction or feedback from other team members.
- Oversee, support and help design the supplier co-funding / co-marketing partner programs.
- With the Web and Channel intelligence team, review KPI performance and adjust strategies and tactics as necessary.
- Design and execute A / B tests across various touchpoints to improve conversion rates, user engagement, and overall campaign performance.
- Own and be accountable for the channel’s key performance metrics related to user acquisition, retention, churn and overall marketing efficiency.
- Continually refine all campaigns to ensure they are meeting and exceeding benchmarks and KPIs.
- Help set and maintain best practices for channel efficiency and optimization.
- Stay up-to-date and share channel marketing trends and best practices.
- Oversee the daily management of channels and related tools including launching, reporting, experimenting, and optimizing campaigns.
- Own and develop, with the Sr. Manager, the roadmaps for each channel and related tools.
- Maintain integrity of our tools and drive the roadmap for continual development.
- Launch new tools as necessary for growth.
- Partner with internal content and graphic design teams to build assets that are technically fit and further powers the campaigns.
- Manage the paid budget.
- With the team, perform audits and mitigation on our channel tools as required for optimal tool health.
- With the Sr. Manager, own the customer database growth strategy, execution and integrity.
- Coach team members, and QA their work prior to market release.
- Manage any outside partners that support our channels, ensuring quality work and alignment to our plans and goals.
- Translate goals and tasks from creative briefs into engaging and effective channel strategies.
- Ensure our brand guidelines are implemented and consistent in all channel work.
- Participate and contribute to creative brainstorming for brand and product launches.
Other Skills and Abilities
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field, with at least 7 years of experience in growth marketing or performance marketing role, with 3 years of experience in a management role, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Demonstrable success in managing performance marketing initiatives across multiple channels.
- Deep understanding of successfully managing digital marketing channels.
- Marketplace channel experience.
- Experience with SMS and Chat highly preferred.
- Ability to present persuasively to gain alignment and communicate effectively.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines and oversee the performance team.
- Effective leadership skills in leading and coaching team members.
- Strong analytical skills with a data-driven approach to decision making.
- Experience in developing and scaling new marketing channels while reinvigorating existing channels.
- Proficiency in A / B testing across channels.
- Strong understanding of marketing principles and best practices in performance marketing.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in project management tools and content management systems (CMS) (a plus).
- Experience in HubSpot, SEMrush, Google Ads, Bing Ads, Social Platforms (especially LinkedIn) are a must.
- Experience with lead generation and eCommerce.
- Strong understanding of the creative process; from ideation through implementation.
- Exceptional attention to detail with relentlessly high-quality standards.
- Ability to influence, collaborate and be adaptable within cross-functional teams.
- Hungry to continually learn and improve your craft.
- Proficiency in juggling multiple, concurrent projects while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
