This position serves our senior living communities in Denver and Centennial in assisting with personal appointments and other transportation needs.
The role pays between $16.55 $19.20 per hour (BOE) and offers full time benefits along with our other company perks! Position Summary
Responsible for driving community residents to and from scheduled destinations. Responsible for the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of community vehicles.
Essential Duties
- Drives residents to and from specified destinations as scheduled including medical appointments, Rehab appointments, various forms of shopping, and other errands.
- Assist residents in entering and exiting vehicle, including lifting walkers, pushing / pulling wheelchairs, operating lifts and ramps while manipulating mobility devices.
- Operates ADA adapted vehicles.
- When transporting residents, provides door to door services with assistance as needed, monitors impression of their overall well-being and reports observations as needed to supervisor.
- Responsible for continuous education of job skills
- Ensures that Driver and Motor Vehicle policy guidelines are followed
- Develops, presents and audits reports as directed by the Transportation Director.
- Other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications and Experience
- At least 1 year of experience professionally driving, experience with Senior Adults preferred.
- Experience in operating adaptive vehicles
- Demonstrable knowledge of local work area and ability to navigate to directed destinations.
- Must possess basic computer skills. This includes the ability to navigate through Microsoft Office Suite.
- Must be able to read, write and speak the English language.
- Must possess excellent customer service skills
- Must possess an active MVR in good standing.
