Shift : 12 hrs / day, 36 hrs / week (6AM - 6 : 30PM) or (6PM - 6 : 30AM)

Pay Rate : $40 / hourly

Job Summary :

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides comprehensive nursing care to geriatric residents within the scope of their license.

The LPN ensures a safe, therapeutic, and hygienic environment while overseeing and guiding subordinate staff. Responsibilities include assessing resident conditions, providing appropriate medical treatment, administering medications, observing and reporting resident behavior, and performing limited supervision on assigned tasks.

The LPN operates under the supervision of an RN or physician.

Responsibilities :

• Provide geriatric nursing care according to prescribed plans and within the scope of practice.
• Oversee and train subordinate staff in specific resident care duties.
• Observe, report, and document resident behavior and physical condition.
• Administer medical treatments and interventions based on the resident's care plan.
• Ensure the implementation of patient care plans within a team nursing concept.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations regarding nursing practices, medication administration, and medical supply management.

Skills Required :

• Knowledge of gerontological / geriatric nursing theory and practice.
• Understanding of the aging process and the ability to address the medical, physical, and psychological needs of elderly residents.
• Familiarity with nursing procedures, pharmacology, and medication administration practices.
• Ability to assess client needs, provide appropriate interventions, and work effectively in a team nursing environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with residents, families, team members, and service providers.

Experience Required :

One or more years of Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or Long-Term Care (LTC) experience is preferred.

License / Certification Required :

• Active State of Arizona LPN License.
• BLS Certification.
