Job Description

Dishwashers at the Whitewater Center are responsible for washing and cleaning tableware, pots, pans, and cooking equipment in a high-volume restaurant environment.

Dishwashers must also keep the dish area and equipment sanitary and organized. Dishwashers are on-site, and can either be hired as full-time hourly, benefits eligible employees or part-time hourly employees reporting directly to the Executive Chef.

Responsibilities

• Safely clean, organize, and maintain dishes and dish station equipment.
• Load, run, and unload the dish machine.
• Immediately report any functional or mechanical problems to the Executive Chef.
• Bag and haul dish room trash to dumpster at designated times.
• Fill in as needed to ensure smooth and efficient operation within the kitchen.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• No prior restaurant experience is needed.
• Excellent communication skills are a must.
• Comfortable working in a hot, wet, humid, and loud environment for entire shifts.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and other Whitewater events as needed.

Physical Demands

• Must be able to work outdoors for sustained periods of time in all weather and environmental conditions.
• Must be able to lift and carry at least 50 pounds.
• Must be able to bend, stand, lean, and kneel on a regular basis and for sustained periods of time.
• Must be able to safely self-transport over uneven terrain or in a confined space.
• Must be able to work in shared spaces with other employees and customers.
• All positions as Whitewater require employees to report and work onsite at Whitewater locations.

Overview of Food and Beverage Department

The Food and Beverage Department delivers exceptional, chef-driven culinary service to Whitewater guests. Whitewater is home to diverse and ever-evolving food and beverage outlets, including full-service and fast-casual dining options.

In addition, the Food and Beverage Department oversees catering for private events and Adventure Dining.
