Summary
The Learning and Development Program Manager will be responsible to lead and manage tools, processes, and practices focusing on the deployment of our learning and talent development roadmap.
Develops, plans, implements, and maintains global programs, policies, and procedures with an ongoing focus on improvements, bringing innovative, leading-edge ideas that propel talent development and learning in our workforce with long-term results in mind.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
Provide solutions to improve business performance and develop future leaders by partnering closely with HR Business Partners and business leaders.
Evaluate existing programs, gaps, and future requirements to make recommendations and either build or buy internal learning and development content.
- Continually evaluate and gain feedback on L&D content to ensure focus on improvement, results, and business impact.
- Lead development and participate in the execution of the Talent and DE&I strategies, in close collaboration with the HR leadership, HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, and Communications.
- Influence global talent and diversity strategies and practices through collaborative partnership with the Corporate OD team.
- Act as a subject matter expert by contributing perspective, insights, and knowledge, and taking a balanced consultative and systematic approach to enable the organization to achieve measurable results.
- Drive goal attainment through program management and defined project plans; manage implementation activities, and develop processes, documentation and communications for program / process rollout and ongoing support.
- Support JM Huber’s global leadership development programs. Assist with communication and implementation; work with local HR lead in all 3 BUs to align learning and development plans at the sites.
Monitor the effectiveness of the leadership development frameworks by establishing and analyzing metrics enterprise-wise and at plant / offices.
- Influence and partner with cross functional working teams, including both HR and business team members, to launch on-time, effective programs.
- Define key performance indicators by developing metrics for Talent development and DE&I programs aligned with business and organizational objectives.
- Partner with other BU teams to share and identify best practices, leverage effective tools from across BU and deploy them in a way that is meaningful.
- Provide leadership coaching, when appropriate, to managers and leaders via one-to-one and group interactions
Specialized / Technical Knowledge or Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university, followed by a master’s degree in organizational development, Business, or related field, preferably.
- 8+ years of experience in Human Resources, with a mix of experience of at least 5+ years in learning, organizational development.
- Understands multiple cultural frameworks, values, and norms and demonstrates an ability to flex style when faced with myriad dimensions of culture to be effective across culture and cultural contexts.
- Ability to influence, develop, and empower leaders and employees across different business cultures.
- Strong project management skills : ability to implement project plans and balance shifting deadlines and priorities; ability to continuously improve processes.
- Demonstrated effectiveness in building relationships and partnering with stakeholders including but not limited to senior executives, leaders, employees, external vendors, and consultants.
- Detail-oriented, quality-focused, and customer mindset.
- Curious and innovative, interested to learn more about new trends and best practices.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a range of variables in situations where standardization is limited.
- Experience demonstrating high judgment and working with confidential or highly sensitive subject matter.
- Flexible and adaptable to work under tight deadlines and / or changing needs. Exceptional written and verbal internal / external communication & consultation experience.
