Title : Customer Service Advocate Part time

Description
We are seeking a part-time team member for a high-volume clinic. The Customer Service Advocate serves as a direct contact for patients via telephone, in-person, or online platform.
The CSA is responsible for scheduling patients, verifying insurance, collecting payments, and exemplifying the Service is our Passion culture.

Availability Requirements :
Ability to work Monday and Wednesday 8am-5pm

Essential Functions :
- Greets patients
- Answers multi-line telephone system in a professional manner
- Schedules patients on a walk-in / urgent care schedule
- Accurately registers patients using the UMCP computer system
- Ensures all documents and forms are presented, explained, and signed at
time of registration
- Obtains appropriate signed consent forms
- Obtains all necessary information to perform benefits verifications
- Collects co-pay or amount required at time of service
- Works to provide a friendly, calm and professional environment for a sick
patient, their family and friends

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities :
Must have experience in meeting people and dealing with them under adverse conditions. General computer skills. Must have excellent customer service and organizational skills.
Must be capable of learning quickly and accepting change.
Minimum Qualifications :
High School diploma, typing speed of 30 wpm, high attention to detail, excellent customer service skills and strong communication skills.
Preferred qualifications :
Previous experience in a general office capacity.
Environmental Conditions :
Well-heated and ventilated building. Normal office environment. Fast paced, professional environment.
Physical Requirements :
Requires prolonged sitting, some bending, stooping, and stretching. Requires eye-hand coordinator and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator, and other office equipment.
Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare and communicate appropriate reports. Must be able to transact business in person or on the telephone.
Hours may vary depending on the needs of the department.
