  • While this role does not involve programming PLCs, it does need an understanding of electrical systems, dry-contact control loops, 4-20mA analog signals and physically integrating equipment to PLCs.
  • Develop detailed electrical drawings, schematics, and diagrams of industrial control systems for project submittals based on the project's quoted materials and labor.
  • Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to understand project objectives and requirements.
  • Review technical documents, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Select appropriate electrical components, equipment, and materials when integration with control systems deviates from the initial design.
  • Execute Product Acceptance Tests (PATs) on panels as they are produced, and work with SCADA Controls Technicians (SCTs - PLC programmers) to resolve any issues discovered.
  • Assist installation crews as needed, with the installation of panels and their enclosures.
  • Terminate wiring from field devices to control panels and test operation.
  • In some instances termination or modification may need to be performed on the field equipment as well.
