Maintenance Mechanic

Job Location : Waxahachie TX

Summary : Hands on upkeep Maintenance Repair, Periodic Maintenance, Breakdown Maintenance, Process Improvements, Inspections of all equipment in the Paint Dept.

Troubleshoot and repair issues which include electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and fluid power equipment. Work with machine operators to resolve issues.

Job Responsibilities :

• Maintenance PMs Due on shift on dates.
• Maintenance repair calls and Work orders to be completed in a reasonable time.
• Repair to a minimum (Management target) on assigned shift assisting crew members and Core group to do the same during downtime.
• When work item is found that needs attention, it is required to make suggestions, including any problem-solving ideas or process improvements related to quality issues.
• Reviews, safety related issues and work requests completed in a timely fashion.
• Ability to function successfully in a fast-paced, changing work environment.
• Ability to climb and work from ladders, knowledge and ability to work in confined spaces.
• Manage the inventory of parts purchased to eliminate the build-up up parts that never get installed. Optimizes inventories, ensures parts and supplies are available for work assigned.
• Review and track equipment downtime in the Paint dept. Use this data to optimize the effectiveness of preventative maintenance efforts.

Also develop predictive maintenance activities with the goal of improving equipment uptime.Research and recommend tools to improve the quality of maintenance work being performed.

• Thermal Oxidizer Condition Monitoring, Paint line waste water treatment Process & Safety
• Operating for Reliability
• Hydrocarbon Management
• Paint Line Bonding and Grounding Systems

Interface with maintenance Supervisor & Process Engineering to ensure site compliance with safety and regulatory i.e. arc flash, fire extinguisher checks, Paint line sprinkler system.

Job Requirements :

Expected to learn new technology in the following systems : PLC / Electrical, Hydraulic / Pneumatic, Combustions, Electrostatic, and painting.

Communication Skills- Basic communication skills including listening and interacting. Must communicate well verbally and in written form

Education (Essential) - High School Diploma.

Education (Desired) - Vocational technical certification or associate degree or equivalent.

Experience (Essential) - 2 years industrial electrician training, PLC programming or trained in programming.

Experience (Desired) - 5+ years industrial electrician / PLC programming experience.
