Well, then Handex might be for you! We are currently seeking Wastewater Operator to service our wastewater clients in Union and North New Jersey.
As the Wastewater Operator, you will be hands-on and responsible for the overall performance (operations / repair / maintenance) of various types of groundwater process equipment and remediation systems at environmental remediation job sites including wastewater treatment facilities, superfund sites and refineries in Northern NJ.

What will be my responsibilities and objectives :
- The Wastewater Operator will be the company representative working M-F (day shift) to operate, inspect, adjust, replace / repair and monitor process equipment, meters, gauges, and controls to detect problems and to maintain proper levels of operation and systems performance.
- Provides high end customer service as point of contact by communicating daily with clients, regulatory personnel, subordinates, peers, and supervisors.
- Collect samples and test water, wastewater and industrial wastewater samples.
- Assist with process control testing and field testing of water. Record and adjust pH levels, process chemicals, including flocculants and coagulants, using mixers, pumps, and metering devices.
- Perform preventative maintenance using hand tools, power tools and / or precision equipment in accordance with O&M guidelines and requirements.
- Ensure the treatment system is operating within compliance.
- Demonstrate equipment operations and procedures to employees as needed.
- Ensure compliance with work orders, the direction of the Project Manager, and to help keep tasks on schedule.
- Keep job sites neat, clean and free of debris.
- Follow all Company Standard Operating Procedures for field work.
- Understand, apply, and adhere to all safety procedures as required.
- Other duties as assigned.
