High Rez Consulting, Inc. has the following position available :

Mid-Level Programmer (3+ years exp)

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited educational institution in Engineering, Mathematics, Physical Sciences, or Computer Science

with at least three years of experience in some combination of design, development, and implementation of real-time acoustic signal processing algorithms, development of parallel processing implementations, service-oriented architecture, signal processing, and real-time data analysis systems or visualization / simulation.

A candidate may also be asked to support the System Engineering team with the development and installation of networked computer and operating systems so a background and interest in this area is required.

The candidate will be a part of a Software Development Team working at an onsite customer laboratory. This team will be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of complex computer systems in support of the Department of Defense.

Must be a problem solver and enjoy working as part of a team.

Responsibilities :

• Be part of a software development team to design, develop, test, and debug new builds
• Be part of the systems engineering team to develop and install networked computer and operating systems
• Analyze user needs and develop software / hardware solutions
• Work with project manager or product owner to meet specification needs
• Recommend software upgrades to optimize operational efficiency
• Collaborate with other developers and engineeres to design and optimize code delivery
• Create flowcharts and user guides for new and existing programs
• Document all relevant tasks and procedures
• Perform routine software maintenance

Qualifications :

• Previous experience in software development, computer engineering, or other related fields
• Knowledge of Java, Python, or other programming languages (C++, Scala, JavaScript, Typescript)
• Knowledge of hardware components and installation procedures as well as an in-depth knowledge of the linux operating system
• Familiarity with relational databases such as MySQL, Oracle, and SQL Server
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration methodologies
• Deadline and detail-oriented
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills

Compensation and benefits will depend upon experience level. Must be a US Citizen and able to possess a government security clearance.
