Shift : 8-hour days, Monday - Friday, 5x8's, start times between 6-7am
Guaranteed Hours : 40 hours per week
Experience : Minimum 1 year of experience
License : ARRT (R) Radiography Registration through The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
Certifications :
- BLS - Healthcare Provider
- ACLS within 6 months of hire
Must-Have :
- Associate's degree in Radiology
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to function independently with patient care and equipment operations
Job Description :
- Assist physicians in performing technical procedures requiring ionizing radiation.
- Operate specialized radiographic equipment for angiographic imaging, ensuring optimal image quality.
- Implement and adhere to all radiation safety procedures.
- Prepare patients for radiologic procedures and ensure all paperwork, including consent and medical history, is complete.
- Assist with procedures, including pre-procedural care, scrub duties, and post-procedure patient care.
- Set up sterile trays and prep patients using sterile techniques.
- Under supervision, perform arterial and venous cannulation.
- Cross-train and execute hemodynamic monitoring.
- Maintain a clean, well-stocked, and safe work environment; check and test equipment before use.
- Follow universal precautions and support compliance by all staff.
- Ensure accurate charging for procedures and supplies; report issues to leadership.
- Maintain expertise with all Cath and EP Lab equipment and supplies.
- Work with Biomedical and Service Technicians to ensure equipment integrity and uptime.
- Test lead aprons and thyroid shields for integrity annually, ensuring proper storage to prevent damage.
This position requires a high degree of technical expertise and the ability to work collaboratively within a cross-functional team to deliver exceptional patient care.
