IT Support Specialist I

Position Summary
The IT Support Specialist I is responsible for on-site and remote support for computer network systems ensuring courteous, timely and effective resolution of client issues.
Installs, maintains, and supports network systems including computers, mobile devices, telephony, and peripheral equipment.
Due to the nature of the hospital services, this position will be required to work a variable schedule to ensure systems availability 24 hours 7 days a week.
The work schedule will be adjusted on a regular basis by the IT Systems Lead to fit the needs of the Crystal Clinic Orthopaedic Center.
Essential Job Functions / Accountabilities
Provides user technical support on-site and remotely via telephone for hardware and software support issues, user account support, mobile device setup and support, and supporting Virtual Desktops and remote connections.
Records all support requests and solutions in ticketing software, escalates and coordinates support actions with other staff as needed, and communicates resolution to the client.
Installs / Configures / Maintains information systems and corresponding equipment, including PC network installations and user configurations according to CCOC network standards.
Maintains inventory logs of all equipment.
Performs proactive hardware and software maintenance, including workstations and peripheral equipment.
All other duties not specifically assigned.
Position Requirements
Education : High School diploma or GED required. Associate's Degree in Computer Technology or working towards a Computer Technology degree preferred.
Experience : One (1) year of demonstrated experience in an IT customer service field required.
Technical Skills : Experience with computers, setup of hardware, installation of software and troubleshooting. Working knowledge of Microsoft desktop operating systems being used in a domain environment.
