Responsible for supervision of residents' day-to-day activities. Provide custody and security oversight to clients within residential facility.
Maintain order within the facility and enforce all rules, regulations and policies. Maintain adequate records of residents activities.
This is a part-time position, 16 hour per week position working : Saturdays 830a-5p Sundays 8a-430p. This position would also cover holidays, vacations, and call ins.

Program Overview :
For individuals transitioning from closed custody correctional facilities, Cherry Health provides Person Centered Reentry Services to ease the transition back into the community.
Services are available at two locations : our Community Treatment Center (CTC) in Detroit and Community Alternatives Program (CAP) in Grand Rapids.
Services include 24-hour residential treatment in a structured environment with individual and group counseling services.
Some participants come to us directly from a correctional facility, while others come as part of a diversion program to keep them out of prison.
Together, we work to address health issues (including behavioral health issues) and other reentry needs i.e., employment, education, housing, and fostering connections to help justice system involved persons successfully reintegrate back into their respective communities.
Requirement :
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Must have a current valid driver’s license.
- CPR certification required.
- Associate Degree in Human Services, or Bachelor Degree in Social Work or related field preferred.
- Basic knowledge or experience and / or training in correctional science or adult treatment preferred.
- Three years direct care experience preferred.
- Experience in mental health, substance abuse or correctional type residential program is highly desirable, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job as listed above.
- Male candidate required : gender required based on necessary staffing ratios for the clients.
Responsibilities :
- Orientation and intake of all residents.
- Assist clients with questions, problems and / or concerns.
- Maintain contact notes and documentation as required to audit ready standards.
- Monitor client activities in and around the campus
- Assist clients with signing in and out of the facility
- Conduct random and scheduled facility and client searches
- Conduct urinalysis testing
- Make randomly scheduled campus and facility perimeter checks to total at least one every half hour - hour during the shift.
- Conduct randomly scheduled client counts to total at least three per shift
- Report all concerning and / or atypical circumstance to the immediate supervisor immediately.
- Attend Monthly RCC and All Staff Meetings.
- Ensure all residents are taking their medication as prescribed. Document and record dosage / time taken.
- Pat search and breathalyzer all residents randomly and when signing in and out.
- Distribute resident mail, meals and bus tickets.
- Monitor daily sanitation of resident rooms and building.
- Other duties as assigned.
