Warehouse Associate is responsible for various tasks related to the receiving, storage, and shipping of products. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring efficient warehouse operations and maintaining inventory accuracy.
Key Responsibilities :
Receiving and Stocking :
- Unload incoming shipments and verify their contents against purchase orders.
- Inspect products for damage and report discrepancies.
- Organize and stock items in designated locations in the warehouse.
Inventory Management :
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with regular inventory counts.
- Monitor stock levels and assist with reordering as necessary.
Order Fulfillment :
- Pick and pack orders accurately and efficiently for shipment.
- Prepare shipping documents and labels for outgoing orders.
Safety and Cleanliness :
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Keep the warehouse clean and organized.
Team Collaboration :
- Work closely with team members and supervisors to meet daily operational goals.
- Assist with training new employees as needed.
Qualifications :
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is a plus.
- Ability to lift heavy items (up to 50 lbs) and perform physical tasks.
- Basic math skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory software is a plus.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Work Environment : This position typically involves working in a warehouse environment, which may include exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels.
Shift work may be required.
