Martin Transportation Systems has an opening for a Working Shop Foreman at our Kansas City, KS terminal. This position would be 2nd shift, Monday through Friday, 230pm - 11 : 00pm.
As this is a working position, the ideal candidate would have both managerial skills and experience, along with heavy duty truck experience.
REQUIRMENTS :
Fluent use of Class 8 software for tractors and trailers
Knowledge and experience with the following engine systems :
- Cummins
- Detroit
Knowledge of different tires & cost of maintaining tires on tractors and trailers
Cost of maintaining tractors and trailers
Maintain and preserve proper inventory management
Effective Communication skills
Effective leadership skills
Position Qualifications :
Professionalism-in both employee management and customer service
Strong Communication Skills
Lead mechanic experience, minimum 3 years
Knowledge of compliance with OSHA and DOT regulations a plus.
Demonstrated track record of achievement and success
Competitive and driven to succeed
